Day.8.

A photo that makes you angry/sad

William Kentridge, Drawing from "Stereoscope" 1998–99.

I’m not sure if this really classifies a “photo” but every time I see it I am overcome with this immense sense of sadness.

The painting was done by William Kentridge, and it is currently on display at the MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) and there are huge banners and signs in the subways promoting this exhibition, so I see the image everywhere.

Everything about the image brings out this emotion in me.  From the look of grief on the man’s face to the water pouring down on him, in him, and around him and the feeling of claustrophobia in the small room.
