A RUSSH of Blood to the Head

I’m in a bit of an artsy mood and decided to show off some Australian editorials.  These three images come from the Australian bi-monthly women’s fashion magazine RUSSH.   I came across them a few weeks ago and thought they were pretty incredible.

There is a definite difference between the way the Americans and the Europeans do fashion and how our friends across the world do it, and  I really like it.  The magazine only has six people on the masthead, so the fact that they produce beautiful images and stories twice a month is truly amazing.  Oh yes, and they have models, actual models on their covers!  However, it is $185 for a year’s subscription.  My birthday is coming up . . .

And after seeing my first Australian Fashion Week a few months ago I feel a deep need to go visit this country even more.  The creativity is running wild down under.

A Surprise Down Under

I had never seen pictures of Australian Fashion Week before today, so I was completely surprised when I saw how many amazing designs there were.

I am in love with Australian Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010.

I began looking at the pictures thinking that I would find a few outfits that I might like, but instead I found dozens that I need to own, now.  I am actually really tempted to hop on a plane now and go to fashion school in Australia or find a job at a fashion magazine there, but I suppose I would settle for a shopping excursion Down Under.

The shows ended May 7 and all of the pictures are up, and the clothes will be in stores in December (remember their seasons are the reverse of ours).
