Paris Je T’aime-Day 2

PFW (Paris Fashion Week) Day 2 featured one of my all time favorite design houses, Nina Ricci.  The current designer for the legendary brand is Peter Copping, and I was extremely happy with the collection he produced.  I felt that he kept the old world Parisian charm of the original designs but updated them in a way that felt completely fresh and inspiring.

I have always had this minor obsession with Nina Ricci.  I think it because it is always undeniably girly and feminine but still very sophisticated and it never looks like dress up.  The clothes are beautifully made and always classic.

I also threw in a little Balmain, designed by Christope Decarnin, to show how another older design house can be completely turned on its head, but still look great.

Paris Je T’aime-Day 1

I am a complete francophile, so obviously the French fashion shows are my absolute favorite.

While the world watches New York, London and Milan, I am (impatiently) waiting for the Paris Fashion Week to begin, which is of course last.

But finally that time of year has come, and each day I will post my favorite shows.
